THE MICHIGAN SPORT BUSINESS CONFERENCE
The Michigan Sport Business Conference (MSBC) is the largest undergraduate-run sport business conference in the nation. Held once a year in the fall, MSBC connects leaders in the sport business industry with the best and brightest students in the country. As Director of Brand Strategy for the 13th annual conference, much of what I do involves connecting MSBC with the world around us. This includes working closely with our Partnerships team to create materials for partners, creating content for MSBC’s socials, ideating and creating in-person assets, and more.
CONTENT CREATION
As Director of Brand Strategy, one of my responsibilities includes creating content for MSBC’s social media platforms, in addition to creating and upholding MSBC’s branding. Formerly, as a Creative Manager, I contributed to 39% growth on our Instagram account in one year.
As the inaugural Director of Brand Strategy for the Michigan Sport Business Conference, much of what I do involves bridging the gap as well as bringing in a creative eye across the entire conference. This includes our Creative, Marketing, Partnerships, and Event Planning teams, among others. A main component of my role is to establish brand guidelines that carry over year after year and elevate the conference to the next level creatively.
BRAND STRATEGY
PARTNERSHIPS PITCH ASSETS
As someone with interests in sports, entertainment, culture, art, and other things, I understand the importance of finding an intersection between these elements in order to draw in diverse audiences with differing interests. Because of this understanding, I have been deeply involved with our Partnerships team, creating slide decks and One Pagers to use to pitch to potential partners. This is something that I have loved and hope to pursue in the future.
TEAM MERCHANDISE DESIGN
As a Creative Manager for MSBC, one of my responsibilities includes creating apparel for the team to wear throughout the year. Additionally, I created stickers that were given out during our summer event which served as a social and networking event for the student planning team, students interested in sport business, and industry professionals.
