FRONT OFFICE SPORTS

Front Office Sports is the leading multi-platform media and news organization covering the business of sports. As a Social Media Intern, my day-to-day responsibilities include creating organic content across all socials, in addition to overseeing FOS’s Threads account. I used Photoshop to create graphics for Instagram, as well as draft original copy for Twitter content, catering to an audience of over 1.8 million across accounts. Following the internship, I stayed on as a Contractor, supporting special projects and brand building under the social team.

INSTAGRAM CONTENT CREATION

I use Photoshop to create graphics for FOS’s 330K followers on Instagram. I’m trusted to create content that is interesting, eye-catching, and true to FOS’s brand, both through visuals and subject matter. Sometimes, these posts have to be created in a matter of minutes, as FOS is often one of the first media sources to post regarding sport business news.

TWITTER CONTENT CREATION

Falling under the FOS editorial team, social is responsible for promoting articles across socials, most notably Twitter. On a daily basis, I write copy for our Twitter account, drawing users to our main website as well as providing crucial information if they choose to keep scrolling. I select and edit photos in Photoshop, write original copy, and schedule posts using Twitter Composer.

THREADS SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

One of my primary responsibilities at FOS is overseeing the Threads account. In my first two months, I grew the platform by 8K followers, and significantly increased engagement on posts. This was primarily done by studying the platform to understand which types of posts do best and ensuring that those are the ones that are being prioritized on Threads. Additionally, by interacting with other accounts and posting interactive content, I have been able to grow a more vocal community on the app.
